Made With Love Little Deer Card

This little card was made for the

Isn't that little deer the cutest?!
I used the Made With Love set to stamp him and the sentiment. I cut him out and colored him using both my blender pens and my markers. I used Soft Suede for his nose and spots, and Crumb cake and a blender pen to color his body. with a blender pen i colored the inside of his ear and his cheek. I used Daffodil Delight to color his bow.

ok so to continue, i also used some super cute paper from the upcoming Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. I used a few little hearts from the Hearts Border Punch above his head (because how can you not love that little guy)
I used the Wink of Stella Glimmer pen which will be available soon from Stampin' Up, on his bow and the hearts...and before i go on....
can i just say how much i am in LOVE with these pens !!! Oh, it has revolutionized my life!
there will be gold and clear, which leaves a beautiful fine shimmer... you almost use it like a paintbrush... it is FABULOUS!!!! oh, Wink of Stella Glimmer pen, where have you been all my life?

Stamps - Made With Love
Cardstock - Whisper White, So Saffron
Inks - Crumb Cake, Stazon Black. Daffodil Delight (for his bow)

Made With Love Baby Card

It's all about STARS at Stampin' Royalty this week!

I decided to use one of my new stamp sets, Made With Love.
There are so many cute images in that set!
As you can see, i decided to use the onesie image for the main focal point.
This card is easier than it looks. I just embossed the background panel using the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, then used a strip of Whisper White and punched the Confetti Stars Border Punch across it, layered it on So Saffron, then Whisper White. I glued it on the back panel, tied a ribbon around it, then adhered it to the Soft Sky Cardbase.
I die cut one circle in So Saffron, then a smaller one in Soft Sky. I stamped the onesie in Smoky Slate, then cut it out. I used my blender pens and Soft Sky & Daffodil Delight ink to color the image. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White and used Dimensionals to pop them up.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Soft Sky, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink - Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate
Stamps - Made With Love
Accessories - Confetti Stars Border Punch, Soft Sky Ribbon, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Blender Pens

Picture Inspiration!

For this one, i will admit that i was down to the wire in getting it done, so it was made rather quickly...
But it just goes to show that you can still make a cute card, even when you don't have a lot of time!

I used the Oval punch to make the pumpkin pieces, and stamped the background in White Craft ink on Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I used the Boho Blossoms punch and the Tree Builder Punch to create the flowers. The sentiment is from an old retired set called Country Blessings.

Supplies:
Ink - Craft White, Cajun Craze (for sponging)
Cardstock - Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Stamps - Country Blessings, Bloom with Hope,

Flurry of Wishes Pin-spiration!

The Theme for this weeks Stampin' Royalty is Pin-Spired!
That means we were to find inspiration on Pinterest!

Here is the the card that inspired me, made by Melissa at Rubber FUNatics!

(Click HERE if you would like to pin this card too!)

Isn't that snowman on the pink just the CUTEST!?!?
I really loved the original card, but alas, did not have the proper pink, so i decided to do Real Red instead...

For this card i basically just made the elements with either a Circle Die, or hand cut, or punched out each part, then assembled the pieces.
If you make a card similar to this one, just be sure to stamp your panel BEFORE you run it through in the embossing folder... otherwise you won't get a good image :o)

Supplies:
Stamps - Flurry of Wishes
Ink - Basic Black, Real Red, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock - Real Red
Accessories - Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Sequins, Snow Flurry Punch, Circle Die

Lighthearted Leaves Image Swap Card

Our local stamp group did a really fun swap at our last meeting...
We each chose a new stamp set we owned, took a half sheet of cardstock, and filled it with images from that stamp set. that way, we could take our swap home and punch out, cut out, etc., the images, and make whatever we like out of them!

This was the first card i made with my image swap!
I used my White Chalk Pen to color in some of the details on the leaves, cut them out, used my oval die to cut out the sentiment and put in eyelets.

Supplies:
Cardstock - So Saffron, Crushed Curry
Stamps - Lighthearted Leaves
Accessories - Eyelets, Gold Satin Ribbon

Wondrous Wreath Christmas Card

As you can see, that is the dominant theme for my card as well! The embossed background, the circle of the wreath, the berries on the wreath....
I really like the way it turned out, and it was actually pretty easy to put together.
One note i will make is that for the "JOY" word, i cut out one in the Silver Glimmer Paper, then  2 using the Thick Whisper White cardstock, then glued them in layers to give the word some sturdiness.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Pear Pizazz
Stamps - Wondrous Wreath
Accessories -  Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder,  Silver Glimmer Paper, Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies

Sheltering Tree, Woodland Embossing Folder

This week at Stampin' Royalty is a Picture Inspiration Challenge!

here is the inspiration:

I loved the colors in the original, so i used that, along with the pumpkins, the vertical lines of the candles, and the pop of color like you see in the flowers of the cake image.
I made the pumpkins using two different circle punches, and the leaves using the Bird Builder punch.
How i did the background:
I inked the embossing folder using Pool Party Ink, so that only on the 'recessed' portion would be inked. after running a piece of Whisper White cardstock through, this is the final result you will get.
*a little tip is that before you lift the paper from the folder, make sure to kind of rub the back of the paper so that you will get a fairly even inking.

The pumpkins were punched from Pumpkin Pie cardstock then layered to look like pumpkins, also some Whisper White Craft Ink was sponged along the tops to give them dimension.. The leaves are punched from Soft Suede cardstock using the Bird Builder punch.

The sentiment was from the Sheltering Tree set, and the little 'brad' on the side was made by punching out a small circle, gluing it down, then covering it with Crystal Effects. This is how i make my own custom 'brads' or 'epoxy elements'. :o)

Supplies:

Stamps - Sheltering Tree
Ink - Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Suede
Accessories - Woodland Embossing Folder, Circle Punches, Bird Builder Punch, Crystal Effects

Guy Greetings, Masculine Birthday Card

The Theme at Stampin' Royalty this week is a Color Challenge!

This card is pretty simplistic, although it has textures and elements to help fill it out and give it interest. I deliberately placed the stamped image a little off to the right because i originally wanted both sentiments on the left, but decided on the above look instead.
I'm sure you can figure how i put most of this card together,  i think the one thing worth mentioning though is that you will need to stamp the car and square BEFORE you emboss the Vanilla panel. I created the square by inking up my Clear Acrylic Block and using that as a 'stamp'. i love the look, and so convenient!

Supplies:
Stamps: Guy Greetings
Cardstock: Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Hello honey
Ink:Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey
Accessories: Twine, Woodgrain embossing folder

Jolly Christmas Woodland Embossing Folder Christmas Card

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Fancy Folds!
I don't know why, but i immediately thought of this card. it is slightly different than i originally envisioned it, but it turned out pretty close! I was able to use a lot of my new goodies from the new Holiday Catalog that will be coming out soon! oooooh, so many fun things!

For this one, i embossed a piece of Whisper White using the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then cut it and mounted it on the new thicker Whisper White Paper. I had cut it and scored it in such a way that there are flaps on either side that overlap...

I cut the outer flap to the contour of the tree closest to the edge.
I then used Crumb Cake and sponged the trees so they would stand out more. I used the single leaf from Lovely as a Tree to add leaves, enhanced them using a blender pen and Crumb Cake ink,  then used my Gorgeous Grunge spatter stamp and Gold ink to add some magical gold sparkle :o)

I stamped the deer from the Jolly Christmas set in Early Espresso, cut him out and adhered him, then lastly i added a Snowflake Element to finish it off.

* I had a request for the dimensions of this card..here ya go!*

the cardbase is cut to 10 x 5-1/2 inches
then scored at 3-1/2, then at 7-3/4
(in other words, if you put the 10 in. piece on your score board, you don't need to move it, just score at these two measurements without moving the piece)
at that point i put a separate tree embossed piece on each flap, then trimmed the larger flap along the contour of the tree.
these measurements should give you a 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card that will fit in a standard envelope

Supplies:

Stamps - Jolly Christmas, Lovely as a Tree, Flurry of Wishes (for inside sentiment) Gorgeous Grunge (For Gold splatter)
Ink - Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Cardstock - Whisper White, Thick Whisper White
Accessories - Snowflake Elements, Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

For this one, i used the dots accent stamp from the Remembering Your Birthday set in different colors to create a magical rainbow!
I punched the stars out of Silver Foil paper using the Confetti Stars Punch, then glued them on individually. The color 'wash' behind the sentiment is also a stamp from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar.
fun challenge, fun card!

Supplies:
Ink - Cucumber Crush, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Watermelon Wonder, Rose Red, Basic Black Archival Ink

Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set Card

It's a Picture Inspiration theme at Stampin' Royalty this week!

Here is the inspiration image:

As you can see, i took a little inspiration from everywhere. The 3 panels on the card represent the 3 popsicles, the colors, the birds, and of course the flower patterns.

I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the June 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, and used the small flower in Pear Pizzaz on the Pear Pizazz panels. I also used the large flower and Calypso Coral for the Oval Panel. Then i stamped the sentiment from Happy Thoughts in Pear Pizzaz,  The bird, leaves, branches and flowers are from the Bird Builder and Tree Builder punches,

Supplies:
Stamps - Happy Thoughts (from June 2015 Paper Pumpkin)
Cardstock - Pear Pizzaz, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink - Pear Pizzaz, Calypso Coral

Painted Petals, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry

For this one,  i used minimal supplies, which is always fun, because that means less clean-up!
For the stripes at the bottom, i just used the stripes from the Painted Petals set stamped in Crushed Curry to make this piece. i then layered it with a Crushed Curry strip and the main panel. I added a few sequins to give it a bit of sparkle, like the photo inspiration!

I did, however, stamp the flowers separate and glued them directly on the panel, so that the image would not be muddied by the background stamp. The background stamp came from Gorgeous Grunge.

Supplies
Stamps - Painted Petals, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink - Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, Old Olive
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Whisper White, Crushed Curry
Accessories - Silver Sequins

Guy Greetings, Graduation Card

This card was actually quite easy to put together.
For this one, i used star punches, but you can also use Dies. Adding some Gold Glimmer paper really takes this card to the top!
**I had received  an inquiry as to how i made the graduation cap....
for the bottom part, i punched out a circle, and just cut it free hand to make the curved pointed part, and for the top, had a somewhat rectangular piece that I also just free hand cut into a sideways diamond shape. for the tassel holder, i punched out a small circle, glued it on, then added Crystal Effects on the top and let it dry :o)   Lastly i used dimensionals to pop up the top part.

Supplies -
Ink - Black
Stamps - Guy Greetings
Cardstock - Naturals White
Accessories - Star Punches, Circle Punches, Star Border Punch, Gold Glimmer Paper, Circle Dies.

This weeks Stampin' Royalty theme is Mothers!!
i can't think of many other things better to celebrate than mothers!

This card is actually very simple and fun to make, the best kind of card, wouldn't you say?
It can pretty much explain itself... Just did two step stamping for the flowers from the Painted Petals set and added a butterfly in Strawberry Slush from the Kinda Eclectic set. I used an old Mothers Day stamp for the sentiment and tied a ribbon around the main panel to finish it off!
Voila!

Supplies:
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz, Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant

Bloom With Hope, Petite Pairs, Kinda Eclectic Birthday Card!

This Weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a

I guess the only thing that really needs much explaining is that i stamped the leaf image using Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White and layered it behind another panel that i had used my Labels Collection Dies on to make a window. After i had cut out the window, i ran it through my Big Shot using my Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I Watercolored the flower and also the leaves. using my Rich Razzleberry ink an also my Blackberry Bliss ink. I used a mask over the leaves and then sponged the background with Pacific Point Ink, Both Butterflies are also made with Pacific Point ink, but one was stamped off first.

Supplies:

Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Rick Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight
Stamps - Bloom With Hope, Petite Pairs, Kinda Eclectic

Sea Street, Cycle Celebration

There is an awesome sketch this week at Stampin' Royalty!  That was how i came up with this little card! I just bought this Sea Street set, and i really like it! it basically has almost everything you need just in the set to make all kinds of cute cards! i love how you can use many of the stamps for making your own background papers, like i did with the rope panel.  The sentiment is from Cycle Celebration, and i used my marker to color just the portion of the words that i wanted.

Supplies:

Stamps - Sea Street, Cycle Celebration
Ink - Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Coastal Cabana
Accessories - Maritime Designer Series Paper, Stars Embossing Folder

Painted Petals, Bloom With Hope, Birthday Card

Oh, look! i made another birthday card! haha... I do seem to go through them quite fast, and this is probably why i always make my cards birthday cards.
This is another of my Stampin' Royalty sample cards, as this weeks theme is Watercoloring!

I made this card using the Painted Petals Stamp Set, Bloom With Hope stamp set, and the Irresistibly Yours designer series paper, that let me just tell you how much i L-O-V-E!

I started by watercoloring the Irresistibly Yours designer series paper with Soft Sky and Wisteria Winder, then also watercolored a little bit in the main image panel with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz. I then stamped the stems over the watercoloring, and matted the piece on Sahara Sand. I punched the butterflies out of Soft Sky and added some pearls, then i cut a small strip of vellum and stamped Happy Birthday on it with StazOn, then directly on the back, i used straight Wisteria Wonder ink and my paintbrush and colored behind the words. I then used a strip of Whisper White to line the back, and also added white brads to each side to hold the vellum and white strip together. it also gives me a place to put the dimensionals so they wont be seen.

I layered the pieces, adding some White Satin Ribbon and some White Bakers Twine along the bottom before adhering it all to the cardbase.  This is so much more 'frilly' looking than i am used to, but i really like the way it turned out :o)

Supplies:
Stamps - Painted Petals, Bloom With Hope
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand
Accessories - White Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Irresistibly Yours Designer Series paper

You Plus Me

Here is my card for the Embossing Challenge at Stampin' Royalty this week!

I stamped the dots on the Whisper White with Blushing Bride, then stamped again using Versamark, then embossed with Gold Embossing powder. I dry embossed the Blushing Bride circles using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. I also used the You + Me stamp in versamark to emboss the image, then punched it out and layered it on a Blushing Bride circle. I used Gold Dotted Washi Tape from the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape set along the bottom to give it a little more visual texture, added a white ribbon and mounted the whole thing on Blushing Bride cardstock!
It was kind of an experiment :o)  here it is!

Supplies -

Ink-
Cardstock - Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Stamps - You Plus Me
Accessories - White Ribbon, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Gold Embossing Folder, Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape

Creative Blog Hop!

Wow!! I was nominated by my DEAR friend and upline, Carrie Rhoades, to participate in a Creative Blog Hop! I'm so honored and excited!!

To do this, first I have to be nominated by another Stampin' Up! demonstrator. (done!) Thanks, Carrie! ;o)

Then, i have to post a project!

Here goes!

I was inspired by THIS ADORABLE CARD by Lisa Storms. Originally, i wanted to do a St. Patricks Day themed card, but it took a pleasant and unexpected turn...

Whaddya think?

The next fun part of the Creative Blog Hop is where I answer some questions about me...

1. What are you working on right now.

I am currently working on a Birthday suite, including invitations, signs, banners, decorations and games, for a client who regularly requests custom projects from me. It's a little tough, because she requested a specific movie theme, and i am finding it a challenge to come up with ideas, but little by little, it is coming together!

2. How does your style differ from others in your genre?

hmmm......well, i always like to describe my style as structured and deliberate. i am not the kind that can just kind of throw a lot of stuff down and end up with a gem of a project that is a feast for the eyes....although i wish i could!! haha! each part of my project in my mind has a purpose. every so often, i will have a happy accident (and sometimes NOT so happy accidents), but i usually spend more time trying to get things 'just right' than i probably should, but at least when i am finished, my ever so slightly OCD side is satisfied and i can sleep peacefully!

3. Why do you create what you do.

wow! This could encompass a lot! I do tend to create things that appeal to something inside me... So i guess i can say that each project i make is a little piece of me...a little window into who i am.

Stamping/papercrafting is almost like my therapy. it is my sanctuary in a crazy world. it is a wonderful creative outlet, something i have that is exclusively mine in a house that has been taken over by the other members of my family, and it gives me a sense of individuality, accomplishment and pride. Its my excitement and quiet time all in one. I also love the relationships i have created with other wonderful people who share the same love for the craft as i do!!

4. How does your creative process work.

Sometimes i will make projects using the guidelines at the Stampin' Royalty Challenge Site, of which i am administrator and Head Goddess. My nominator for this awesome Creative Blog Hop, Carrie Rhoades, is also a Goddess on the site... She makes AMAZING paper goodies! Along with all the other fabulous Goddesses! you should check it out and play along with us and visit Carries site!! you will be ooh-ing and aah-ing with each post!

Other times i am inspired by something i see, such as a card, color scheme, or picture, But a lot of times i will challenge myself to make things using either my newest stamps, OR some of my OLDEST products. that is why a lot of times you will see some really old supplies used in my cards along with some of the newer. i guess i like to make sure all my supplies feel loved ;o)

And of course, then there are the times i get specific requests, then i love going through my supplies to see how to best use them for the requested theme! it's like a little game for me!

Lastly, To end the Creative Blog Hop, I get to nominate another demonstrator to participate! So, I am nominating Stasia Sloma to be next in the Blog Hop! Not only has she had many of her creative projects published, but she is also one of the Stampin' Royalty Goddesses! Be sure to check out her blog and visit it on Monday, March 2nd for her post for the Creative Blog Hop!

So many things in this image to inspire me!
I began with a Crisp Cantaloupe cardbase, added a Smoky Slate and Tangerine Tango mat, then on a panel of Whisper White, i stamped the splatter stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge set, stamping once full strength, then a few times more after stamping off.
Then i stamped and cut out the ampersand from You Plus Me set from the Occasions Catalog in Tangerine Tango, added a few rhinestones, and for the "Mr/Mrs, i didn't have a stamp or die cut for the size letters i needed, so i found a font and used my Silhouette to cut out these letters in Smoky Slate.  I really wanted to use the Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz Die if i had it, but alas, I did not, so i had to improvise. After adding some ribbon, i put it all together and here it is!
