More Cake, Please!

It happens to the best of us!  Each year there are more candles on the cake! haha!   But at least we can smile about it, right?  This card was made for the Picture Inspiration at Stampin' Royalty...what a FUN PICTURE!!   Lots of color and sweet things! I'm sure you can get some great inspiration yourself, and be sure when you do, make a project and share it with us at Stampin' Royalty!
Oh, and i thought i would mention the yellow panel is embossed with the Stripes folder, but you can't really see it in the photo. But it adds a lot of texture. If i had thought about it before i put the cake on the main panel, i would have used the polka dot embossing folder on it....

Supplies:
Cardstock- Tempting Turquoise,  So Saffron, Whisper White
Stamps- Bring on the Cake, Patterned Party
Accessories- Scallop Edge Punch, Stampin' Write Markers (Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Grey), Brights Buttons, Stripes Embossing Folder

Simple Scrappin'

This Scrapbook page was made for the Stampin' Royalty Clean and Simple Challenge.  It is definitely clean...and simple!!  Since i was actually on the road to my vacation destination when i made this, i kept it very simple. It was all about color, balance, and featuring the photo. I went to my trusty MDS, found a handsome picture of my hubby, used MDS to change it to black and white, then added strips of color to the top and bottom of the page, then some colored 'tape'.  it took me a few minutes to get everything the right size and placement, but it didn't take me long. that is the beauty of Digital scrapping...i was able to do it in the car while my husband was driving, and completed this page in less than 20 minutes!
What's your favorite thing about digital scrapping?

Scrappy Guy Card!

If you are anything like me, you have a very difficult time coming up with cards for guys. and when it was time for the Stampin' Royalty Masculine Card challenge, i cringed a little.  But guys like getting cards too!  and i am pretty sure flowers and ruffles wouldn't be appropriate....
So while sitting staring at my supplies hoping for a moment of brilliance (which never arrived, btw, haha!) I looked at my trusty color coach...i happened to be looking at the old style one, and found some colors that i thought would look pretty good together, then when i pulled out my paper, i happened to pull out some scrap strips and started layering them. I was kind of going for a 'blocky' look, but it transformed into this! i knew it needed some texture, so i put the Garden Green in my Lattice Texture folder.  This idea can be used for anything, including scrapbook pages or as a background.  I had to kind of play with the positions of the strips so that it looked balanced, but was fairly pleased with the result. And oh, what a wonderful way to use those scraps!!  This card looks WAY better in person than it does in the picture.  Oh, and as a side note, i added some punched circles and some silver brads to add another element.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Garden Green, More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
Stamps: Bring on the Cake
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories:  Lattice Embossing Folder, Silver Brads, Owl and Cupcake punches

Hey, Stranger!

I know, it seems like i have been a stranger lately!  I haven't posted a whole lot, and there are many reasons for this, but now i am back, and my mojo, which had been missing, has returned home! so i will be posting some projects that i had made the last few weeks for Stampin' Royalty and hadn't had a chance to blog.

One of the reasons i was not posting was because i had been working on a scrapbook that had a time limit, and i had been running behind in finishing.
Here are just a couple choice pics of a few of the pages and some elements. Every element in the book was handmade by me because i couldn't find exactly what i had been looking for.
