A Card Without a Title

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a Picture Inspiration!  here is the picture...

This is one i don't think i would make more of, because it took a lot of fussing haha!
I took my inspiration from the basic colors, shapes, and layout of the image.  for the background, i used my clear blocks inked up just like a stamp and pressed them on the paper to create the blocks of color. the rest is kind of self explanatory. it is hard to see in the picture, but i had used several coats of clear embossing on the ornament, then bent it to give it a crackle finish to make it look vintage, and also to mimic the crackle finishes in the image.

A Lovely Christmas

This weeks challenge at Stampin' Royalty is No Embellishment Holiday Cards.
as you can see, there are no embellies on this one! but i still wanted to make it visually interesting, and i thought texture would be the best way to do it! i used my Simply Scored to make the diagonal embossed lines. I created a mask for the sentiment portion and after stamping it, i then put the mask over it and stamped the tree.  I added a few splatters for a little extra somethin'-somethin', and put it all on a mat of Smoky Slate and Soft Sky cardbase.
this card was pretty easy after i figured out the design, and i could make several of them in one day!

Supplies:
Cardstock - Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Ink - Basic Grey, Pool Party, Smoky Slate
Stamps - Seasonal Sayings, Lovely as a Tree, Gorgeous Grunge, Seasonal Sayings
Accessories -  Simply Scored

Christmas Cheer!

this color combo was a bit of a challenge for me! But i always tend to gravitate to Christmas cards, so that is what i made! it's a little unconventional in the color scheme, but that's what makes it interesting, right?

One thing i believe requires explanation is the large ornament. i was not able to entirely fit the stamp on the piece i cut out with my Framelits Die, but i stamped the words (that had been colored with my Markers)on Whisper White, then used the actual Die itself to trace the OUTSIDE of the die and cut the white piece. The Summer Starfruit piece WAS cut using the Die, but i used my scissors to cut it in half horizontally, then just glued the pieces on the top and bottom of the white piece.   I also sponged White Craft ink on the snowflakes and added a little glitter to them (which is hard to see in the photo, but adds so much in person!)
