Rose Wonder Moroccan Nights Purple Birthday Card

Here is my sample card for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Picture Inspiration Challenge!

here is the picture inspiration:

For this one, i just sponged ink on Whisper White cardstock and splattered water to get a mottled background look. I made the ribbon using the White Satin Ribbon and a sponge that i inked then sprayed with water, then ran it across the ribbon. I then stamped directly on it using a stamp from the Moroccan Nights and StazOn, and added Silver Dazzling Details to the centers of the designs.
I did cut the one side of the rose where the leaf met the rose and used just a portion of it so it would fit better on the card.

Supplies:
Stamps - Moroccan Nights, Rose Wonder
Ink - Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder
Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Accessories - White Satin Ribbon, Rose Garden Thinlits Dies

Marquee Messages Birthday Card

This card was made with my BRAND NEW stamp set, Marquee Messages!!! (perk of being a Demonstrator! we get some stamp sets before anyone else!) we received it in our Stampin' Up On Stage event bags! I needed to make a card that was kind of neutral, so it gave me an excellent reason to use this set!  although, any reason is a good reason to stamp, right?

I put a little extra effort into this one. I first stamped the main image, then colored certain parts, and then stamped the banner portion of the image on Island Indigo, embossed the "birthday" in black, then cut it out, and paper pieced it onto the main image. the little 'stars' or 'sparkles' were stamped, colored, cut out, and applied to the main image. I used circle punches and Real Red and Island Indigo for the background circles.  The dotted background paper is a SaleaBration DSP.  I used Crystal Effects on the 'lights' on the arrow portion, on the 'sparkels' and also on the red stripes on the side. I then added Wink of Stella to the "Its Your" part to give it a little extra something :o)

Supplies:
Ink: (used for coloring) Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Real Red
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black
Stamps: Marquee Messages
Accessories: DSP, Crystal Effects, Circle Punches, Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen

Rose Wonder Piece of Cake Birthday Card

The theme at Stampin' Royalty this week is a Color Challenge!

Well, since i always seem to gravitate towards Birthday cards,
why make this week any different, right? haha..
As i was trying to come up with a design, i looked through my pack of Cherry On Top paper for a possible paper to use that had these colors in them. When i came upon the Watermelon Wonder one with the slices of cake on it, i thought to myself, i bet i could make one of these out of cardstock and have it be the main focal point of  the card...
as my brain started working, i came up with a basic idea of the card above. I then set about making the slice of cake. it took me trying it twice to get it right, but i think it turned out pretty good!
I will be making a video tutorial soon on how i made it, and the card!

Supplies:
Cardstock - Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Ink - Top Top Taupe Watermelon Wonder
Stamps - Rose Wonder
Accessories - Balloon Bouquet Punch, Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Party Punch Pack, Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack

My Very First Stampin' Tutorial Video!

Well, i have been wanting to do it for several years now, but i finally made it happen!
My VERY FIRST Stampin' Video Tutorial!

In this video, i explain how i made THIS card. So if you need a supply list, you can refer to that post, as i have included it there.

I need to find a way to improve the quality of the video itself for my next one, but i do hope you like it! My favorite part is the little animation my 12 year old daughter made for me as an opener :o)

By the Tide, From Land to Sea, Wetlands Birthday Card

We could either use green in our project, which i did, or upcycle/recycle something.

This card was totally inspired by THIS awesome card by Susan Best at Stampin' Inferno
Love her card!

I began by embossing the Pear Pizzazz background panel with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, then on a Whisper White panel, i used my sponges and created a mottled background, then sprinkled water on it to give it an underwater or bubble effect... Such a cool technique!
I then stamped the fan coral along the bottom.
After stamping, coloring, and cutting out the Sea Turtles, i adhered them to the panel using Dimensionals. I added some Baked Brown Sugar Bakers Twine in a criss cross pattern on the side. The twine is no longer available, but any natural type string or twine would work nicely. I then stamped the sentiment from the Wetlands set in Garden Green, punched it out using the Large Oval punch, and lightly inked the edges with Pear Pizzazz.
For the final touch, i put some White Perfect Accents on to enhance the final product, then i sat back and looked at it for a few minutes! I really like how it turned out!

Supplies:
Ink - Garden Green, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake,
Cardstock - Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
Stamps - Wetlands, By the Tide, From Land to Sea
Accessories - White Perfect Accents, Baked Brown Sugar Thick Bakers Twine (ret.) Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Large Oval Punch

Sassy Salutations Cherry On Top Balloon Card

This weeks Challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a COLOR CHALLENGE!

This card took me 3 tries before i got it to where i was somewhat pleased with it haha...
All it took was a small balloon punch, some patterned paper, a little cardstock, and two stamps!
I do wish that the Bermuda Bay watercolor portion would have stamped a little straighter, but waddya gonna do ;o)
I will probably make more of these now that i have the design down...

I cut the curve in the Whisper White cardstock using a plate and tracing it to make a curved edge. I did this with both the white and Bermuda Bay piece i used to layer with.
I just cut a piece of patterned paper from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack and glued it to the bottom portion. I stamped the watercolor wash from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set in Bermuda Bay, using a sponge to lift some of the ink before stamping so the color wouldn't be so intense. I then used my Basic Black and the Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutation for the greeting.
I then punched several balloons using the small balloon punch and arranged and glued them down.  To give them the 'shine', i used my White Chalk Marker.  The hardest part about this card is arranging the balloons to look just right! Everything else was pretty easy!

Supplies:
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Basic Black
Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White
Stamps - Sassy Salutations, Perpetual Birthday Calendar
Accessories - Small Balloon Punch, Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack

The Sky is the Limit Birthday Card

here is the picture inspiration!

I took a lot of cues from the picture inspiration to make my card...
i seem to gravitate to birthday cards, and there is a cake, so you know, fate and all...
I basically used some scraps, used a square to make the cake, ran it through my embossing folder, rounded the edges, added a few things, put a flower on using a gold brad (edged in gold using my Gold Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen), gold embossed the sentiment, and ran the background piece through the embossing folder as well. I used my Tree Builder Punch raindrop and Gold Glimmer paper to make the flames for the candles, stuck it all together and now i have a Birthday card!
this is another one that would be great to change out any colors/patterns to fit any age/gender...

Supplies:
Cardstock-Soft Sky, Whisper White, Smoky Slate
Stamps - Sky is the Limit
Accessories - Embossing Folders, Gold Embossing Powder, Versamark, Gold Brads, Flower Punch, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Scallop edge Border Punch, Wink of Stella Gold Glimmer Pen

Candles and Cards

I made this card for an order a friend placed for several birthday cards. What i like about it, is that it is really easy to customize it to any age, color scheme, pattern, male, or female, it is easy to put together and uses SCRAPS!!! (which i always love!)

I did use some retired patterned paper and retired stamp for this one, but like i had mentioned, it is so easy to switch any of the supplies and you could have a similar card.

Grateful Bunch, Sassy Salutations, What I Love

For this one i used different images from 3 stamp sets... Grateful Bunch, Sally Salutations,
and What I Love.
I sponged Mint Macaron in the bottom right corner of a white panel first, then stamped the foliage in a kind of triangle pattern using Early Espresso ink.
I stamped the sentiment using Basic Black. i also used the squiggly line stamp from the Sunburst Sayings set, coloring the stamp with a marker to get just the right length, but this is a difficult way of doing it, as you have to clean the stamp between each use and lining them up can be difficult. I would suggest just using your marker and drawing some lines.
I then stamped and cut out the flower and butterflies. I assembled the card using a Pink Pirouette cardbase, then a Mint Macaron panel. Then i placed the flower and butterflies on the card using dimensionals, and finished it off with some rhinestones and adding some shimmer on the butterflies and flowers with my WONDERFUL new Wink of Stella Glimmer pen! (have i mentioned how much i love this pen?)

I think it has a slightly vintage feel to it, even more so in person. If i were to do it again, i would add squiggle lines in the top left corner and maybe not bring the sponging so far into the middle, but more up the side and across the bottom a bit.

Supplies:
Stamps - Grateful Bunch, Sassy Salutations, What I Love
Ink - Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Mint Macaron
Accessories - Rhinestones, Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen

I used Daffodil Delight to color his bow.
