Sassy Salutations Cherry On Top Balloon Card

This weeks Challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a COLOR CHALLENGE!

This card took me 3 tries before i got it to where i was somewhat pleased with it haha...
All it took was a small balloon punch, some patterned paper, a little cardstock, and two stamps!
I do wish that the Bermuda Bay watercolor portion would have stamped a little straighter, but waddya gonna do ;o)
I will probably make more of these now that i have the design down...

I cut the curve in the Whisper White cardstock using a plate and tracing it to make a curved edge. I did this with both the white and Bermuda Bay piece i used to layer with.
I just cut a piece of patterned paper from the Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack and glued it to the bottom portion. I stamped the watercolor wash from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set in Bermuda Bay, using a sponge to lift some of the ink before stamping so the color wouldn't be so intense. I then used my Basic Black and the Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutation for the greeting.
I then punched several balloons using the small balloon punch and arranged and glued them down.  To give them the 'shine', i used my White Chalk Marker.  The hardest part about this card is arranging the balloons to look just right! Everything else was pretty easy!

Supplies:
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Basic Black
Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush, Whisper White
Stamps - Sassy Salutations, Perpetual Birthday Calendar
Accessories - Small Balloon Punch, Cherry On Top Designer Series Paper Stack

The Sky is the Limit Birthday Card

here is the picture inspiration!

I took a lot of cues from the picture inspiration to make my card...
i seem to gravitate to birthday cards, and there is a cake, so you know, fate and all...
I basically used some scraps, used a square to make the cake, ran it through my embossing folder, rounded the edges, added a few things, put a flower on using a gold brad (edged in gold using my Gold Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen), gold embossed the sentiment, and ran the background piece through the embossing folder as well. I used my Tree Builder Punch raindrop and Gold Glimmer paper to make the flames for the candles, stuck it all together and now i have a Birthday card!
this is another one that would be great to change out any colors/patterns to fit any age/gender...

Supplies:
Cardstock-Soft Sky, Whisper White, Smoky Slate
Stamps - Sky is the Limit
Accessories - Embossing Folders, Gold Embossing Powder, Versamark, Gold Brads, Flower Punch, Gold Glimmer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Scallop edge Border Punch, Wink of Stella Gold Glimmer Pen

Candles and Cards

I made this card for an order a friend placed for several birthday cards. What i like about it, is that it is really easy to customize it to any age, color scheme, pattern, male, or female, it is easy to put together and uses SCRAPS!!! (which i always love!)

I did use some retired patterned paper and retired stamp for this one, but like i had mentioned, it is so easy to switch any of the supplies and you could have a similar card.

Grateful Bunch, Sassy Salutations, What I Love

For this one i used different images from 3 stamp sets... Grateful Bunch, Sally Salutations,
and What I Love.
I sponged Mint Macaron in the bottom right corner of a white panel first, then stamped the foliage in a kind of triangle pattern using Early Espresso ink.
I stamped the sentiment using Basic Black. i also used the squiggly line stamp from the Sunburst Sayings set, coloring the stamp with a marker to get just the right length, but this is a difficult way of doing it, as you have to clean the stamp between each use and lining them up can be difficult. I would suggest just using your marker and drawing some lines.
I then stamped and cut out the flower and butterflies. I assembled the card using a Pink Pirouette cardbase, then a Mint Macaron panel. Then i placed the flower and butterflies on the card using dimensionals, and finished it off with some rhinestones and adding some shimmer on the butterflies and flowers with my WONDERFUL new Wink of Stella Glimmer pen! (have i mentioned how much i love this pen?)

I think it has a slightly vintage feel to it, even more so in person. If i were to do it again, i would add squiggle lines in the top left corner and maybe not bring the sponging so far into the middle, but more up the side and across the bottom a bit.

Supplies:
Stamps - Grateful Bunch, Sassy Salutations, What I Love
Ink - Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Mint Macaron
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Mint Macaron
Accessories - Rhinestones, Wink of Stella Glimmer Pen

Made With Love Baby Card

It's all about STARS at Stampin' Royalty this week!

I decided to use one of my new stamp sets, Made With Love.
There are so many cute images in that set!
As you can see, i decided to use the onesie image for the main focal point.
This card is easier than it looks. I just embossed the background panel using the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, then used a strip of Whisper White and punched the Confetti Stars Border Punch across it, layered it on So Saffron, then Whisper White. I glued it on the back panel, tied a ribbon around it, then adhered it to the Soft Sky Cardbase.
I die cut one circle in So Saffron, then a smaller one in Soft Sky. I stamped the onesie in Smoky Slate, then cut it out. I used my blender pens and Soft Sky & Daffodil Delight ink to color the image. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap piece of Whisper White and used Dimensionals to pop them up.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Soft Sky, So Saffron, Whisper White
Ink - Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Smoky Slate
Stamps - Made With Love
Accessories - Confetti Stars Border Punch, Soft Sky Ribbon, Lucky Stars Embossing Folder, Blender Pens

Picture Inspiration!

For this one, i will admit that i was down to the wire in getting it done, so it was made rather quickly...
But it just goes to show that you can still make a cute card, even when you don't have a lot of time!

I used the Oval punch to make the pumpkin pieces, and stamped the background in White Craft ink on Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I used the Boho Blossoms punch and the Tree Builder Punch to create the flowers. The sentiment is from an old retired set called Country Blessings.

Supplies:
Ink - Craft White, Cajun Craze (for sponging)
Cardstock - Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Stamps - Country Blessings, Bloom with Hope,
Accessories - Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper, Boho Blossoms Punch, Tree Builder Punch, Oval Punch

Flurry of Wishes Pin-spiration!

The Theme for this weeks Stampin' Royalty is Pin-Spired!
That means we were to find inspiration on Pinterest!

Here is the the card that inspired me, made by Melissa at Rubber FUNatics!

(Click HERE if you would like to pin this card too!)

Isn't that snowman on the pink just the CUTEST!?!?
I really loved the original card, but alas, did not have the proper pink, so i decided to do Real Red instead...

For this card i basically just made the elements with either a Circle Die, or hand cut, or punched out each part, then assembled the pieces.
If you make a card similar to this one, just be sure to stamp your panel BEFORE you run it through in the embossing folder... otherwise you won't get a good image :o)

Supplies:
Stamps - Flurry of Wishes
Ink - Basic Black, Real Red, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Cardstock - Real Red
Accessories - Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Sequins, Snow Flurry Punch, Circle Die
