Happy Thoughts Paper Pumpkin Stamp Set Card

It's a Picture Inspiration theme at Stampin' Royalty this week!

Here is the inspiration image:

As you can see, i took a little inspiration from everywhere. The 3 panels on the card represent the 3 popsicles, the colors, the birds, and of course the flower patterns.

I used the Happy Thoughts stamp set from the June 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit, and used the small flower in Pear Pizzaz on the Pear Pizazz panels. I also used the large flower and Calypso Coral for the Oval Panel. Then i stamped the sentiment from Happy Thoughts in Pear Pizzaz,  The bird, leaves, branches and flowers are from the Bird Builder and Tree Builder punches,

Supplies:
Stamps - Happy Thoughts (from June 2015 Paper Pumpkin)
Cardstock - Pear Pizzaz, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink - Pear Pizzaz, Calypso Coral
Accessories - Bird Builder Punch, Tree Builder Punch

kinda proud, because designed it myself! :o)

Butterfly Basics Thank You Card

This weeks theme at Stampin' Royalty is a Color Challenge!

They are mostly the retiring In Colors, which makes me sad they are going away, as they have been my favorite colors so far! BUT!  My eyes have seen the upcoming In Colors, and i do love most of them! (but these are still my faves haha)

Painted Petals, Night of Navy and Crushed Curry

For this one,  i used minimal supplies, which is always fun, because that means less clean-up!
For the stripes at the bottom, i just used the stripes from the Painted Petals set stamped in Crushed Curry to make this piece. i then layered it with a Crushed Curry strip and the main panel. I added a few sequins to give it a bit of sparkle, like the photo inspiration!

I did, however, stamp the flowers separate and glued them directly on the panel, so that the image would not be muddied by the background stamp. The background stamp came from Gorgeous Grunge.

Supplies
Stamps - Painted Petals, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink - Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, Old Olive
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Whisper White, Crushed Curry
Accessories - Silver Sequins

Guy Greetings, Graduation Card

This card was actually quite easy to put together.
For this one, i used star punches, but you can also use Dies. Adding some Gold Glimmer paper really takes this card to the top!
**I had received  an inquiry as to how i made the graduation cap....
for the bottom part, i punched out a circle, and just cut it free hand to make the curved pointed part, and for the top, had a somewhat rectangular piece that I also just free hand cut into a sideways diamond shape. for the tassel holder, i punched out a small circle, glued it on, then added Crystal Effects on the top and let it dry :o)   Lastly i used dimensionals to pop up the top part.

Supplies -
Ink - Black
Stamps - Guy Greetings
Cardstock - Naturals White
Accessories - Star Punches, Circle Punches, Star Border Punch, Gold Glimmer Paper, Circle Dies.

This weeks Stampin' Royalty theme is Mothers!!
i can't think of many other things better to celebrate than mothers!

This card is actually very simple and fun to make, the best kind of card, wouldn't you say?
It can pretty much explain itself... Just did two step stamping for the flowers from the Painted Petals set and added a butterfly in Strawberry Slush from the Kinda Eclectic set. I used an old Mothers Day stamp for the sentiment and tied a ribbon around the main panel to finish it off!
Voila!

Supplies:
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzazz, Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Stamps - Painted Petals, Kinda Eclectic
Accessories - White Satin Ribbon

Bloom With Hope, Petite Pairs, Kinda Eclectic Birthday Card!

This Weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a
Color Challenge!

I guess the only thing that really needs much explaining is that i stamped the leaf image using Smoky Slate ink on a panel of Whisper White and layered it behind another panel that i had used my Labels Collection Dies on to make a window. After i had cut out the window, i ran it through my Big Shot using my Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

I Watercolored the flower and also the leaves. using my Rich Razzleberry ink an also my Blackberry Bliss ink. I used a mask over the leaves and then sponged the background with Pacific Point Ink, Both Butterflies are also made with Pacific Point ink, but one was stamped off first.

Supplies:

Ink - Blackberry Bliss, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Rick Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight
Stamps - Bloom With Hope, Petite Pairs, Kinda Eclectic
Cardstock - Blackberry Bliss, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Whisper White
Accessories - Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Bitty Butterfly, Rhinestones, Artisan Label Punch, Labels Collection Dies

Sea Street, Cycle Celebration

There is an awesome sketch this week at Stampin' Royalty!  That was how i came up with this little card! I just bought this Sea Street set, and i really like it! it basically has almost everything you need just in the set to make all kinds of cute cards! i love how you can use many of the stamps for making your own background papers, like i did with the rope panel.  The sentiment is from Cycle Celebration, and i used my marker to color just the portion of the words that i wanted.

Supplies:

Stamps - Sea Street, Cycle Celebration
Ink - Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Real Red, Coastal Cabana
Accessories - Maritime Designer Series Paper, Stars Embossing Folder

Painted Petals, Bloom With Hope, Birthday Card

Oh, look! i made another birthday card! haha... I do seem to go through them quite fast, and this is probably why i always make my cards birthday cards.
This is another of my Stampin' Royalty sample cards, as this weeks theme is Watercoloring!

I made this card using the Painted Petals Stamp Set, Bloom With Hope stamp set, and the Irresistibly Yours designer series paper, that let me just tell you how much i L-O-V-E!

I started by watercoloring the Irresistibly Yours designer series paper with Soft Sky and Wisteria Winder, then also watercolored a little bit in the main image panel with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz. I then stamped the stems over the watercoloring, and matted the piece on Sahara Sand. I punched the butterflies out of Soft Sky and added some pearls, then i cut a small strip of vellum and stamped Happy Birthday on it with StazOn, then directly on the back, i used straight Wisteria Wonder ink and my paintbrush and colored behind the words. I then used a strip of Whisper White to line the back, and also added white brads to each side to hold the vellum and white strip together. it also gives me a place to put the dimensionals so they wont be seen.

I layered the pieces, adding some White Satin Ribbon and some White Bakers Twine along the bottom before adhering it all to the cardbase.  This is so much more 'frilly' looking than i am used to, but i really like the way it turned out :o)

Supplies:
Stamps - Painted Petals, Bloom With Hope
Ink - Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz
Cardstock - Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand
Accessories - White Satin Ribbon, Pearls, Irresistibly Yours Designer Series paper

You Plus Me

Here is my card for the Embossing Challenge at Stampin' Royalty this week!

I stamped the dots on the Whisper White with Blushing Bride, then stamped again using Versamark, then embossed with Gold Embossing powder. I dry embossed the Blushing Bride circles using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder. I also used the You + Me stamp in versamark to emboss the image, then punched it out and layered it on a Blushing Bride circle. I used Gold Dotted Washi Tape from the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape set along the bottom to give it a little more visual texture, added a white ribbon and mounted the whole thing on Blushing Bride cardstock!
It was kind of an experiment :o)  here it is!

Supplies -

Ink-
Cardstock - Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Stamps - You Plus Me
Accessories - White Ribbon, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Gold Embossing Folder, Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape

Creative Blog Hop!

Wow!! I was nominated by my DEAR friend and upline, Carrie Rhoades, to participate in a Creative Blog Hop! I'm so honored and excited!!

To do this, first I have to be nominated by another Stampin' Up! demonstrator. (done!) Thanks, Carrie! ;o)

Then, i have to post a project!

Here goes!

I was inspired by THIS ADORABLE CARD by Lisa Storms. Originally, i wanted to do a St. Patricks Day themed card, but it took a pleasant and unexpected turn...

Whaddya think?

The next fun part of the Creative Blog Hop is where I answer some questions about me...

1. What are you working on right now.

I am currently working on a Birthday suite, including invitations, signs, banners, decorations and games, for a client who regularly requests custom projects from me. It's a little tough, because she requested a specific movie theme, and i am finding it a challenge to come up with ideas, but little by little, it is coming together!

2. How does your style differ from others in your genre?

hmmm......well, i always like to describe my style as structured and deliberate. i am not the kind that can just kind of throw a lot of stuff down and end up with a gem of a project that is a feast for the eyes....although i wish i could!! haha! each part of my project in my mind has a purpose. every so often, i will have a happy accident (and sometimes NOT so happy accidents), but i usually spend more time trying to get things 'just right' than i probably should, but at least when i am finished, my ever so slightly OCD side is satisfied and i can sleep peacefully!

3. Why do you create what you do.

wow! This could encompass a lot! I do tend to create things that appeal to something inside me... So i guess i can say that each project i make is a little piece of me...a little window into who i am.

Stamping/papercrafting is almost like my therapy. it is my sanctuary in a crazy world. it is a wonderful creative outlet, something i have that is exclusively mine in a house that has been taken over by the other members of my family, and it gives me a sense of individuality, accomplishment and pride. Its my excitement and quiet time all in one. I also love the relationships i have created with other wonderful people who share the same love for the craft as i do!!

4. How does your creative process work.

Sometimes i will make projects using the guidelines at the Stampin' Royalty Challenge Site, of which i am administrator and Head Goddess. My nominator for this awesome Creative Blog Hop, Carrie Rhoades, is also a Goddess on the site... She makes AMAZING paper goodies! Along with all the other fabulous Goddesses! you should check it out and play along with us and visit Carries site!! you will be ooh-ing and aah-ing with each post!

Other times i am inspired by something i see, such as a card, color scheme, or picture, But a lot of times i will challenge myself to make things using either my newest stamps, OR some of my OLDEST products. that is why a lot of times you will see some really old supplies used in my cards along with some of the newer. i guess i like to make sure all my supplies feel loved ;o)

And of course, then there are the times i get specific requests, then i love going through my supplies to see how to best use them for the requested theme! it's like a little game for me!

Lastly, To end the Creative Blog Hop, I get to nominate another demonstrator to participate! So, I am nominating Stasia Sloma to be next in the Blog Hop! Not only has she had many of her creative projects published, but she is also one of the Stampin' Royalty Goddesses! Be sure to check out her blog and visit it on Monday, March 2nd for her post for the Creative Blog Hop!
