It's All Black and White

Here is my sample for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Picture Inspiration Challenge!

Ok, black, white and some pink and a little green! haha! This was pretty simple to put together once i decided how i wanted it. The only thing i think requires explanation is the flower...

I punched out 2 regular and 1 small-ish scalloped circles, sprayed them with water, crumpled them then un-crumpled them, layered them, poked a hole in the middle using my paper piercer, used a brad to hold them together, then stuck a large rhinestone over the brad. i poked another hole in the main panel before adhering it to the cardbase. i have found it difficult to glue paper that had been wet because the fibers keep it from sticking well. so it is best to use a brad to anchor it to the card somehow :o)

Supplies:

Ink - Black Staz-On
Stamps - Beautiful Birthday, Flowering Flourishes
Cardstock - Whisper White, Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Accessories -  Rhinestones, Little Leaves Die, Neutrals Patterned Paper, Scallop Circle Punches, Large Rhinestone, Beautiful Wings Embosslit,

For the Birds!

This weeks Stampin Royalty Challenge is a Color Challenge!

In making the cardbase, i folded the cardstock in half first before using the Die cut for the front. then after i die cut it, i ran it through again using the embossing folder. first on the bottom, then the top. the layout was inspired by a card i saw on a craft store advertisement, but i tweaked it to make it unique!

Supplies:
Cardstock - Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight
Ink - Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Black StazOn
Stamps - Aviary
Accessories - Circle Punches, Boho Blossoms Punch, Rhinestones, Brights Patterned Paper, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, Adorning Accents Die, Little Leaves Die, Cupcakes Builder Punch (for the centers of flowers)

Everybody Loves Ice Cream!

The theme for this weeks Stampin' Royalty is Birthdays! and this is my sample card for this week :o)
The ice cream cone was made by hand...i had punched out a large circle, traced it onto a piece of lightweight chipboard (i used the backing from a package of dimensionals)and then drew the bottom portion of the ice cream freehand. i cut this out and will use it as a template for future purposes. for the topping, i just punched out a circle of the same size, then trimmed the bottom to look like drips then layered it on top! the cone portion was easy... just made a triangle.
I embossed the sentiment in White Embossing Powder and added lines with my white Gel Pen. If i make this card again i will probably just layer panels for the sentiment instead of drawing lines, but it worked for the moment.

Supplies:

Ink - Versamark
Stamps - You're Amazing
Cardstock - Tangerine Tango, Rasperry Ripple, Primrose Petals
Accessories - Circle Punch, Bakers Twine in Cherry Cobbler, Patterned Paper, Polka Dot Embossing Folder, Lattice Embossing Folder, Subtles Buttons,

Pink and Polka Dots

the Challenge was Polka Dots. I LOVE polka dots!
I saw these GORGEOUS cards made by Angie Leach at Too Cool Stamping, and was inspired to make the above card.

to make the polka dot background, i just punched out different size circles (great way to use scraps!) and glued them on a panel. I then put the panel and polka dots into an embossing folder and then through my Big Shot! The Sentiment was stamped then "cake" was filled in with White Gel Pen. The rest is pretty easy and probably doesn't need much explaining. just a lot of layering and adding ribbon and a bow!

 Supplies:

Cardstock - Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Whisper
Ink - Staz-On, Regal Rose
Stamps - Bring on the Cake, Easy Events
Accessories - Rhinestones, Subtles Buttons, (retired) Patterned Paper, Lattice Embossing Folder, Scallop Edge Punch, Circle Punches, White Taffeta Ribbon, White Gel Pen, Large Scallop Punch, Pretty in Pink Stampin Write Marker, Blender Pen

Kick Off Your Shoes!

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a Sketch Challenge!

For this one, I wanted a really close mat for the circles, so after punching out the main circles, i then cut the mats by hand.  circles are really hard to cut, even with a guide, so what i did was the uneven parts, i used my sanding block to kind of even it out. I also used the markers on my stamps to give it them a two-toned look.

Supplies:

Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Midnight Muse,
Ink - Midnight Muse & Chocolate Chip Markers
Stamps - Dapper Dad, Delightful Dozen
Accessories - Midnight Muse & Chocolate Chip Markers, Metallic Brads, Circle Punches, Argyle Embossing Folder, In colors Patterned Paper, Print Poetry DSP Stack,

Here's Some Happy for Your Birthday!

Here is my sample for this weeks Stampin' Royalty, which is a Picture Inspiration Challenge!

This card was fairly easy to put together, but the 2 things i should mention is how i used white embossing powder for the 'happy birthday' and for the 'H' and 'B'  i first adhered the patterned paper to a scrap piece of chipboard, then used my die cuts and Big Shot to cut them out, and give the letters some sturdiness. :o)

Supplies:

Stamps - Best Dad Ever
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Accessories - Chevron Embossing Folder, White Embossing Powder, Versamark, Neutrals Brads, Neutrals DSP, Brights DSP, In Colors DSP, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die

Never Too Early to Send Some Love!

My project for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is kind of a Velentines card, but can be given anytime i suppose!
The nice thing about sketches is you can take it as inspiration and just go with it!  My sample card is kind of loosely based on the sketch... i kind of had to improvise as i was building it. But it turned out cute, i think. It is pretty in real life because it sparkles and all...and i love sparkly things!

Be sure to use this weeks sketch, make a project, and head over to Stampin' Royalty and post your project! we would love to see what you do!

Supplies:

Ink:  Real Red
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White
Stamps: Seasonal Sayings, Patterned Party
Accesories: Polka Dot Patterned Paper, Silver Glimmer Paper, Rhinestones, Simply Scored, Fashionable Hearts Embosslit

Merry & Bright!

Here is another MDS project for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge, which is a color challenge!

What i really like about this page is how i used the snowflakes in white against a white background, but with shadows...it gives it an embossed or textured look.  it adds a subtle element without being overpowering!

Sweets for the Sweet!

My Christmas/Winter themed project for last weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge

Last year, my daughter helped make an adorable gingerbread house, and i of course took pictures of the construction :o)
Have i mentioned how much i love My Digital Studio?  I do, I do!! That is how i made the fun little page. And oh my goodness, the things you can do with it now!!!! especially the part about being able to color your stamps with different colors! Oh my, how happy it makes me! That is how i did the Sentiment stamp on this page. It was a lot of fun making this page!

I added mini pearls to the tree as well. I used markers to color all the stamps, including the sentiment stamp.  oh, and i also colored his snout with Sahara Sand, his antlers in Early Espresso, and basic black for his eyes :o)

Yay! Another Masculine Card!

This weeks Stapin' Royalty Challenge is a Sketch Challenge!
(here's the sketch)

I had to make a bunch of All Occasion cards for someone, and they requested several Fathers Day cards, so that is what made me decide to go with Fathers Day...
I really like this sketch and feel that you can do soooo much with it!

For this one, with the flags, I punched the DSP with my square punch, then cut them in half diagonally, then down the middle again. I then did the same with Bashful Blue cardstock, but with the next size up of square punch.  then i just glued them on the back of the main panel.  I also did some sponging on the elements to tie it all together.

Supplies:
Cardstock - Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse
Ink - Midnight Muse
Stamps - Open Sea, Delightful Dozen
Accessories -Silver Brads, Square Punches, 2012-14 In Color DSP, Midnight Muse Ribbon
