Never Too Early to Send Some Love!

My project for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is kind of a Velentines card, but can be given anytime i suppose! 

The nice thing about sketches is you can take it as inspiration and just go with it!  My sample card is kind of loosely based on the sketch... i kind of had to improvise as i was building it. But it turned out cute, i think. It is pretty in real life because it sparkles and all...and i love sparkly things!

Here is another MDS project for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge, which is a color challenge!

What i really like about this page is how i used the snowflakes in white against a white background, but with shadows...it gives it an embossed or textured look.  it adds a subtle element without being overpowering!

My Christmas/Winter themed project for last weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge! 

Last year, my daughter helped make an adorable gingerbread house, and i of course took pictures of the construction :o)  

Have i mentioned how much i love My Digital Studio?  I do, I do!! That is how i made the fun little page. And oh my goodness, the things you can do with it now!!!! especially the part about being able to color your stamps with different colors! Oh my, how happy it makes me! That is how i did the Sentiment stamp on this page. It was a lot of fun making this page!

Christmas came up so quick this year, didn't it? 

It sure feels that way to me! well, i know we have a few more weeks, but i feel like just yesterday it was summer! 

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a Picture Inspiration Challenge! I fell in love with the picture when i saw it! There is so much in that one image that I could use for inspiration for many, many cards! and for holiday decorating, too!

Tag Someone!

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Tags!  

I made the little 'peeking' reindeer buy stamping him, cutting him out, then cutting it so that i can tilt his head a little bit, then layered him under the tree that i had also stamped and cut out. I added mini pearls to the tree as well. I used markers to color all the stamps, including the sentiment stamp.  oh, and i also colored his snout with Sahara Sand, his antlers in Early Espresso, and basic black for his eyes :o)

This weeks Stapin' Royalty Challenge is a Sketch Challenge!

I had to make a bunch of All Occasion cards for someone, and they requested several Fathers Day cards, so that is what made me decide to go with Fathers Day...

I really like this sketch and feel that you can do soooo much with it! 

For this one, with the flags, I punched the DSP with my square punch, then cut them in half diagonally, then down the middle again. I then did the same with Bashful Blue cardstock, but with the next size up of square punch.  then i just glued them on the back of the main panel.  I also did some sponging on the elements to tie it all together.

How Could I Resist?

The theme this week at Stampin' Royalty is Emboss Resist! 

So here is my sample card!  

I started with a die cut panel, used clear embossing to create the poinsettia, stamped the pine branches and pinecones, the used my sponges to make the 'halo' of color and also along the edges. I repeated these steps to do the sentiment panel.   For the glimmer paper mat, i used the outside of the actual die itself to trace on the back of the glimmer paper, then cut it out with my craft and rubber scissors. I stamped the sprigs (after stamping off once) and pinecones on the patterned paper background before putting on the main panels.

Peek-A-BOO!

The theme for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is Halloween!  

 I thought and thought all week about what i could do for this weeks project, then all of a sudden, a few hours before i needed to have my project done, it suddenly hit me! this was the card that popped into my head, and i made it pretty close to how i envisioned it.  

here are a few of the things i think are in need of explanation:

the ears are made from the hearts punch, and the black and pink are doubled up, but since the hearts punch is now retired, you could probably substitute the wing from the Bird Builder punch as well.

The head is the Extra Large Oval Punch, the paws the small oval, the nose is from the Owl Builder, the eyes with the cupcake builder for the white part and the Owl Builder for the little black dots, but you can probably draw them in too. the pumpkin made with the Extra Large Oval Punch. His little tail is hand cut.  I used the 1 3/8" circle punch for the Jack-o-lantern mouth, then just cut it a little less than half and cut out notches for the teeth. the eyes and nose are just cut from the corners of scraps.  

I drew in his kitty paws, whiskers and mouth with a white Gel Pen, and used the leaf portion of the Bird Builder punch for the leaves. The letters are made with the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die, and the exclamation point was cut by hand. 

I think he turned out pretty cute!

Sketch Challenge Christmas Card

This weeks Challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a Sketch Challenge! (here is the sketch)

As you can see, i kind of took a little creative liberty with the sketch, but it is mostly the same :o)  

That's the beauty of sketches...you can take inspiration from them, but create your own unique work of art! 

After cutting the red panel, i embossed it using the Petals a Plenty Embossing Folder, then die cut the white panel, then stamped it, colored it, used my Festive Paper Piercing Pack to draw the dots around the edge using my Basic Black Marker.  I stamped and punched the sentiment circle, added a mat, punched the scallop ribbon border, added that and the ribbon to my panel,  then added the image and sentiment, a little glitter glue to make it sparkle, and i was done!  the coloring took the longest but even that wasn't too difficult, as each element was only 1 color each.

I've Fallen for Fall!

This is my sample card for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge, which is a Picture Inspiration Challenge! 

This was an extra tough one  for me. But i ended up taking inspiration from the colors and some of the elements (like the tree.)  I inked the stamp in different colors using my sponge daubers, then used a marker to color the trunks of the trees. After stamping, i used my sponge daubers again to add more color to the trees on the paper. I used the masking technique to do the blue sky. After embossing the woodgrain piece and adding some panels, a few brown brads and the sentiment, i was all done!

A Simple Thank You

This weeks challenge at Stampin' Royalty is a Color Challenge :

I made a simple Thank You card, with just enough of a special touch to make it look extra nice :o)

I stamped the circle images, punched them out, put them on a mat of Whisper White with a Tangerine Tango mat, then used my Stampamajig to stamp the 'thank you's and put rhinestones in between each one. after adding the rhinestones to the flowers in the circle images, i was all done!  Pretty quick to make, less than 10 minutes once i had all the supplies out and ready to go. the nice thing is, it's quick, easy, uses only a few supplies, and you can use almost any color combo for this and it would look lovely!

My card sample for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge is a reeeeally easy one! the challenge was to use your Big Shot or Die Cuts.  This would be a design that you could make lots of cards in very little time and with only a few supplies!

C'mon, Christmas!!

Here is my sample card for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge!

It's a sketch challenge, which i always find the easiest of all the challenges..Check out the sketch below...

I may have mentioned once or twice before (or a hundred times) of how i love all things Christmas!  I would say that 75% of my stamp collection is all Christmas themed...i won't even mention my collection of patterned paper! (i just so happen to have a patterned paper sickness!) 

This card was easy to put together, but the thing i think needs a little explaining is the embossed portion. I cut a panel using the Labels Collection framelits, but only put it halfway through the Big Shot so it would give this scalloped panel look... then i stamped the images, then ran the whole panel through using the embossing folder. I paper pierced the edge of the piece using the Festive Paper Piercing Pack.  I then stamped and cut out the Poinsettia, then added glitter to the center.  The rest was really easy!
