Super Simple Monday

Todays card is one that has a few details, but is overall pretty easy. patterned paper with scallop edged gold cardstock strip, scalloped circle, and a stamped image on a white circle, then the sentiment stamped onto a scrap piece cut in an uneven style. This card may take a few extra minutes, only because of the scallop edge and die cutting the circles and scalloped mat. But it is worth the extra few minutes!

Cute Critters

Here is a card that is fairly uncomplicated, it just takes a few steps. But they are easy steps! The image is from Merry Crittermas, which is so darn cute, I can hardly stand it! My son happens to love squirrels, so in honor of him, I made this card. It made him smile. (he's 18 by the way!)

Butterfly Garden

ok, are y'all ready for this weeks Stampin' Royalty challenge? Its a fun color challenge! I actually really like these colors! It did take me some serious thinking before I was able to come up with a final design, but I did have lots of fun making it!

The colors are:

Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, Marina Mist, So Saffron

I basically used the Big Shot and a few different dies to cut out most of the elements( Top Note, Beautiful Wings, Birds & Blooms). I used the scallop oval and oval punches for the sentiment portion, and then stamped the stems using the Apple Blossoms set. I used markers to create the stitching.

Super Simple Monday

Ok, If you have read my blog for any length of time, you will know I'm crazy about using my scraps to create something! Here is another example of how I was able to do just that. This is a very simple notecard, and all the pieces were scraps, and the stamping was easy! You will notice, however, that I followed the lines on the birdcages with a marker just to give them some color, and I also added a bling here and there.

If you already have little strips of paper like I did, this card would take less than 10 minutes to put together. Love that!

Trimming the Tree

This one doesn't take a lot of effort, which is always nice when making lots of Christmas cards!

Its basically patterned paper with a border, a stamped and colored tree cut out in a circle, matted by a scalloped circle, and the sentiment stamped right on the cardbase.

Thinking of Saffron and Pears

Super Simple Monday

This one really IS simple!

I just used patterned paper layered on a mat piece, stamped in coordinating ink, and added a few gold embellishments, and it's done!

Big Wishes

Here is one that I kind of CASE'd parts of it from a swap I had gotten a while back. Just fun card that can be put together easily.

Wrapped in Ribbons

This card was made for this weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge of Ribbons, Ribbons, Ribbons!

I had made a ring out of cardboard, wrapped Old Olive ribbon around it, put brads as 'holly' added a bow, Stamped the sentiment and cut it out, layered them on a panel cut with the Top Note Die, then layered all those fun things on a Real Red panel with faux stitching made with white gel pen, and an Old Olive cardbase.

Super Simple Monday

For this one, I just cut some patterned paper in a wavy edge, added letter stickers, punched 2 scallop circles in white, cut inward at each scallop to create petals, added a large pink button, leaves and a stem, some stitching drawn with a pen around the patterned paper portion, and inked the edges a bit with pink, oh, and drew a little smile on the flower to give it a face. Really very simple, just takes a few steps!

Snow Easy!

Here is another example of how you can take paper that was meant for scrapbooking and use it for cards. I just took a few different elements from the paper, cut them out, and placed them on the card. Add a few embellishments, some glitter, a sentiment, and you can do up a card real quick! Even the stitching was part of the paper!

A Little Spooky!

Todays post is for this weeks challenge over at Stampin' Royalty!

It's all about Spooky, Kooky, halloween!

I made this scrapbook page on My Digital Studio. I really love that program! It makes scrapping so easy! I love how you can color coordinate, resize things, and change things around without wasting anything!

If you will look closely, you will see how I made the little spiders eyes white. Let me tell you how I did this...

I layered 2 very small circles underneath each eye. That easy!

To make the "glowing" happy halloween, I gave the image a shadow, centered it behind and just turned the shadow color orange. Would have looked good glowing green too, but then it wouldn't have worked as well with the rest of the page. But it is fun to experiment with it!

I'll Have A Blue Christmas

Another card with ornaments in black. this one is not difficult, but sometimes the placement is tricky.
I embossed the ornaments in black, cut them out, added a few tiny rhinestones (hard to see in the pic), put a strip of matted patterned paper, stamped the flourish on one corner, stamped and punched out the sentiment, and put it all on the card. You can do this too!

Hang In There, Little Bird!

This weeks Stampin' Royalty Challenge was a little difficult for me! When i pulled out these colors, i had to look at them for a while before i was able to come up with a final choice! But I do have to say, the bright colors really begged to be paired with the Aviary set! Can I just say I am in love with this funny little owl and the look on his face! he looks so surprised all the time!

I bet you're wondering "how did she do that sentiment piece..." Well, i will be glad to tell you!

I went to my trusty My Digital Studio, and used it to create an oval within an oval ...within an oval...then added the text over it, printed it, and used the wide oval punch on it to punch it out!

I did the clouds by creating my own cloud template, then sponging over it in different areas on the Whisper white. I used the Scallop Edge Punch on the Tempting Turquoise strips, and the Curly Label Punch cut in half so it fits behind the sentiment oval. Add a couple Tempting Turouoise buttons, a few birds, and you got yourself a card!

Ok! here is one that can be done easily! Just cut out a panel, in this case i used SU Top Note die with gold cardstock, then stamped the reindeer in gold, then stamped the sentiment in black, and put it on a cardbase with a strip of patterened paper with a coordinating strip. easy! shouldn't take much more than 10 minutes once you have all your supplies out!
