Very Valentine

This card just screams Valentine, doesn't it?

I stamped the big heart on Real Red, then cut it out, colored the little flowers with a white gel pen, inked the edges to give it shading, then added glitter here and there.

Again I have used my favorite little technique of trimming around the sentiment.
More Valentines cards to come!

Super Simple Monday

I've seen a few cards with the 'hearts on the tree' idea, and I just thought it was adorable, and I had to do a card myself!
This was actually one of the cards we did at my most recent class. The gals loved it! Easy enough for a beginner, but overall cuteness factor enough for everyone! I did have a beginner in my class, too, so I'm glad It wasn't too difficult.

In fact, once you have all your supplies ready and you know where you are going with the card, this one can practically put itself together in 5 minutes or less!

Like-O-Meter

It's a l
I gotta tell ya, when I saw this stamp in the Mini catalog, I laughed for several minutes. I just had to have it!

So here is a card I made with the stamp, I filled in the thermometer with red glitter and went over it with Crystal Effects to make it look more liquidy. (is that a word?)
I also did that for the little hearts bursting out the top.
Pretty easy card to put together, but it took me forever to come up with a layout!

It's a lot cuter in person. My camera seems to have issues (not the user, naturally!)
I do like the way it turned out though!
Have a lovely weekend!

A Scrapbook Page!

Something a little different today! I have been meaning to do some scrappin' latley, and hopefully this will get me going!

I had seen other animals made from punches, and I really wanted something that was Pooh themed, so I made my own Pooh Bear from punches! I used the picture as a guide.
There is a background stamped on the main piece, but it's hard to see it from the picture.

I am entering this project into the Stampin' Royalty challenge #5 ....hope they like it!

Groundhog Day

Here's another easy one to put together.

I have to replenish my birthday cards stash still. The ones I made recently are almost gone again!

Super Simple Monday

I finally took some pictures of my recent cards! Yay! I will have more in the next few days!

This one is admittedly 'thrown' together. I know it looks a little primitive, but i think it kind of works.
I was able to use scraps again (hooray!) for this one too! I had this dragonfly floating around my scrap pile for YEARS and I decided I would finally give him a purpose.
It really is just a generic note card, but I guess the point is that if you are in a hurry, use a couple strips of paper, plop them on a coordinating cardbase, add a little layered embellishment for a focal point, and voila! Oh, and a little bling never hurts!

Puppy Love

I think this little doggie is just so cute! look at him....bringing you a rose! This is the last card I have ready to post until I get the gumption to take pictures of my other cards! Boy, I really gotta get in gear!

I have another class tomorrow, and it should be a full house! I am really looking forward to that!

Hopefully next week, I will have some new cards to post!

Low Inventory!

I only had 2 cards left that are ready to post, and this is one.

Today is a BEAUTIFUL day outside! Compared to the gloomy and cold days we've had the past week or so! I was motivated to finally finish putting away the rest of the Christmas stuff, and now I need to work on my taxes. I know, thats no fun, but at least I am not procrastinating!

Ok, I know it looks like my ice cream cone is kind of falling over, but I hope you enjoy todays card!

A Quick Post

I thought I would come here and post something before heading out the door to chauffeur my teen age son around town, drop lunch off for my husband at his work, then head over to my friend/upline Carrie's house for a playdate for our daughters AND their mommies!
Sorry about the quality of the picture again today, one of these days I'll get it right!

Ok, 'till next time!

Running in Circles

I noticed I kind of had a circular theme going on this week so far, (not to mention the fact I feel like I've been going in circles trying to keep the house clean!) So I thought I would post another one. Sorry about the not so great image quality.

This was also made with scraps. It is actually very easy, and doesn't take much in the way of supplies. You can substitute any color combo and swap out the cake with a flower, or whatever you like!

I've been making a few valentines cards lately, but haven't had a chance to get pics of them yet. Soon, though!

Sale-A-Bration Inspiration

Here is a card that was inspired by one I saw in the current Sale-A-Bration brochure. I was able to use scrap circles for this one.
Among the many, many other reasons I LOVE papercrafting, I also love that you can pretty much find a use for every last piece!

My second shipment of goodies came yesterday! It's killing me because some of it I can't really get out and 'use' until after my class this weekend, because I know if I did, I would mess up my craft room that I took the whole day yesterday cleaning and organizing! Plus I still have a long list of things I need to get done around the house and to finish preparing for the class.

Ok, off I go again to tackle my day!

Have a good one!

Simple Monday

Here's another birthday card. I have several I was holding off until after Christmas to post. The colors and layout were inspired by a swap I had received last year, but I thought I would post it for my Simple Monday. It's fairly basic once you break it down.

I got my first shipment of goodies last week! Woohoo! I had so much fun playing with my new stuff this weekend! I get another shipment tomorrow, and am REALLY looking forward to that, because among other things, it will have the new Polka Dot embossing folder in it! OOh, I can't wait! I have all my projects planned out for my class this coming weekend. It's going to be a lot of fun! The not so fun part will be cleaning up my craft room! It's really a mess! Maybe if I just hurry and get it over with, I won't have to worry about it the rest of the week!
Ok, until next time!

I'm Up For A Challenge!

Ok, so things haven't slowed down as much as I'd hoped they would! But I told myself I would post something today no matter what! So here we go!

This one is for the PPA-24 Simple Sketch challenge. I did take a few liberties with it, I made it portrait orientation instead of landscape, and I couldn't make the extra bit at the bottom of the main image to work out for me, so this is the finished product!

I think I'll also enter in the Stampin' Royalty Birthday Challenge!

Happy New Year!

Well, seeing as it is a new year, I thought it would be appropriate for a birthday card! I actually have many, many more Christmas cards and projects I never got the chance to post, but I'm sure all of you are ready to move on!

We had a very lovely Christmas/New Years. Everybody was so grateful for the gifts they received, we got to spend some wonderful time with family and friends, and lots of quality time with our kids. I got absolutely NO stamping done, but believe it or not, I have been ok with that. I guess I have just been so busy i haven't had time to think about it!

But now its time to get back to the stamping! I have a class in 2 weeks, and I have to prepare for that. Yay! an excuse to put a stamp in my hand! and if that wasn't enough, I have placed an order that should be arriving in about a week that will have some of the new products from the new Mini and Sale-a-Bration catalogs! OOh, I can't wait!

Ok, I have some work to do today, so I will have to write more tomorrow! Maybe even some pictures from the past few weeks!
See you then!
