2 Butterflies...Guava & Sage
Ok, again I must ask for you to use your imagination and pretend that this card says something other than "Mothers Day'.....
Maybe happy birthday, or for a friend?
Heehee, anyway, I used Groovy Guava for the cardbase, and I had a large scrap of a very light pink that I've had a while, and it matched the guava perfectly! So I stamped the Pretty Petals BG stamp in Groovy Guava.
I made the little daisy with a marvy punch I have had for-eeeeeeeever.
I used the Beautiful Wings sizzlit for the butterflies and stamped the sentiment from the All Holidays set in Chocolate Chip.
I sponged the wings of the butterflies with brown and green respectively, and added bling.

This is How Behind I Am!
Ok, I know, this is from like,....forever ago, but if you use your imagination, you can picture it as a thank you card, or a thinking of you. of birthday, etc! Just substitute whichever sentiment fits the purpose!
This one uses a lot of retired colors too. I think all but one is retired. :(
But I'm sure while you are imagining a different sentiment, you can imagine a different color scheme as well!
I do have to say, I got the inspiration for this layout from a card I saw many moons ago online somewhere, but lost the source. If it looks like one of your cards, email me and let me know so I can give you credit ASAP!
Here is what I did/used:
Apricot Appeal, Pixie Pink, Bashful Blue, Green Galore, Gable Green, one of the purples, a couple of the SU sizzix dies, the scallop oval punch, large oval punch, scallop trim border punch
To get the large polka dots on the cardstock, I punched out a circle out of scrap, then used a sponge and white craft ink to make the dots. If I had a dot stamp, I would have used that, but alas, I did not, so I had to do it the hard way. But I do like the way it looks!
I also stamped the flowers with the polka dot stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds in white craft ink, but there is a nice polka dot stamp in the current catalog that would work nicely too.

Super Simple Monday
Ok, so simple might be relative in regards to this card.
I thought it was pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the bling in just the right place!
You don't have to cut out your sentiment like I did, you can stamp right on the card, I just so happened to mess up.....and needed to cover it. Don't you love how forgiving papercrafting can be? :)
I used white craft ink, a martha stewart butterfly punch, the SU flower punch (just retired), Birthday Hugs and Wishes stamp, Going Gray cardbase, and Basic Grey & Basic Black cardstock.

Grill It!
I was contemplating posting this one as a Super Simple Monday card, but I decided that the coloring would take extra time, so it is kind of a step above simple. The layout is pretty basic, but the image takes a little bit of care.
The cardbase is Riding Hood Red, BG paper is DCWV, Image from King of the Grill, sentiment from Many Mower set.
I used markers to color the image.

Good thing this Card is Versatile!
Here is another one I made for Fathers Day, but it can be used as a Birthday card as well!
This image is from the Many Mower set from last Spring (Love that set!)
I used scraps to make this card, including DSP from several years ago. I used markers to color the image, and buttons from my stash. The cardbase is Always Artichoke and Pumpkin Pie.
(BTW, the inside says "RELAX!" in case you were wondering) ;)

Better late than Never!
Return of the Blogger!!
Wow, I've been gone a long time! Sorry about that, Ever since my son graduated high school over a month ago, we have been very busy at our house! Trips out of state, church stuff, taking our daughter to all kinds of different places to keep her entertained while out of school....you name it!
Anyway, I have missed posting lots of cards that I have made recently. So instead of waiting another year for these to come back into "season" I will just go ahead and post them anyway!
Here is a Fathers Day card I made using the King of the Grill set, some retired paper, and the Fathers Day stamp from All Holidays Stamped in Close to Cocoa. I used markers to color in the image.
Glad to be back, have lots to post! Check Back!
Oh, P.S., I have been wanting to make some of my cards available to purchase, but don't want to go through Etsy (fees, and maintenance of a 'store' you know.) to do it. I was wondering if I made a way to have a link to the cards available, if anyone would be interested in buying them that way? Just curious, thought I would give it a try....never know unless you try, right?
